As a former employees of Atag Ernst & Young Consulting, when Dieter Weuffen and Christoph Räss decided to found the company 1996, it was their priority to ensure sound and qualified business informatics consultancy serices to EDP Users, in particular banks, insurance companies, and the authorities. From today's perspective, the first years were fairly simple and mandates not very difficulte to obtain. A branch office was setup in Germany where one worked with freelancers. This was not, however, ever the core business of the WiB. Loyal clients in Switzerland remained with us, throughout: during the millenium discussion as well as during the subsequent IT crisis. Since 2007, our means have grown continously.

Since the foundation of the company, we have always focussed on consultancy services ant the implementation of secure IT solutions. Over the course of the years, quality assurance, project and test management were added to our portfolio and today Belong to our main competencies.
In August 2010, we obtained the ISO 9001 certificate after only one audit.
Since April 2011, our headquarters are housed in the Disteli building on Aarburgerstrasse 7 in Olten. The building was formely owned by the town of Olten and is the former home of the painter and political cartoonist Martin Disteli.
